Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Edward John Kuhnley, MD is board certified in General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has 42 years of experience in helping people of all ages achieve improved mental health and general well-being. Since completion of his child and adolescent training at Yale University Child Study Center, he has engaged in outpatient and inpatient treatment including serving as medical director for child and adolescent units and programs, and as medical director for a psychiatric hospital. He loves to continue his learning and to teach patients, families, students, colleagues, and anyone who wants to learn. He has served as assistant professor and adjunct faculty for medical schools and universities. He is published in psychiatric literature and university textbooks and provides presentations throughout the country on many topics. He provides treatment with listening, empathy, caring, compassion, and understanding and then conveys that understanding to his patients to empower them to enhance their health and well-being. Within moments of meeting him, people discover that he is caring and loves to be helpful.
